What is ISO.?

ISO stands for International Organization for Standardization.

It is an organization engaged in developing and facilitating common certified standards in the creation of various goods and services so that consumers and users around the globe will get optimized quality and reliability of the products in almost every industrial field such as Electronics, Agriculture, Information Technology, Automobiles, etc.

In terms of Computer Architecture, ISO has built a standard called OSI (Open System Interconnection) which provides a common standard to manufacture Computer Hardware, Software and Networking Devices with the help of which Vendors all around the world following this standard will have to manufacture their products which ensures inter connectivity between those devices.
