Is CCNP R&S and CCNP enterprise are same?

What is CCNP Enterprise? I believe those who are familiar with Cisco Certified know it well. This is a brand-new direction in the field of certification, which has been launched since February 24, 2020. It is a combination of CCNP RS and CCNP Wireless. It contains the whole contents of routing switching and wireless that the enterprises need to use.

The core test is the implementation and operation of network core technology of the Cisco Certified enterprise. Its code is encor 350-401, focusing on the understanding of fundamental enterprise structure, including dual stack (IPv4 and IPv6) framework, virtualization, infrastructure, network security, safety and automation, etc. At the same time, there is an important point that this core examination is also the qualification examination for CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure and CCIE Enterprise Wireless certification. In other words, if you pass this examination, it means that you have passed the written examination in the corresponding direction of CCIE. You only need to participate in the corresponding experimental examination and pass it, and then you can upgrade to a more valuable CCIE. In general, the test helps to obtain all of these certifications.

In recently announced Cisco certification updates, Cisco discloses to replace CCNP R&S with CCNP Enterprise.

Not only CCNP R&S name will be changed on 24th Feb 2020 but its exam codes, learning materials and examination will also get changed. So, we can assume CCNA R&S different from CCNP Enterprise.

Difference in CCNP R&S and CCNP Enterprise examination.

CCNP R&S has 3 module exams (Route, Switch & Tshoot) which takes place separately. 

1. 300-101 ROUTE
2. 300-115 SWITCH
3. 300-135 TSHOOT

Whereas, in new CCNP Enterprise we will have the Core and the Concentration exams.

• Core Exam: 300-401 ENCOR

After passing Core exam, CCNP Enterprise aspiring candidate will be eligible to take concentration exam. At Least one concentration exam passing score is required to become CCNP Enterprise certified.

All these exam syllabus revolves around CCNP R&S exam syllabus so we can say CCNP R&S are similar to CCNP Enterprise in many ways but with different exam procedure.
