From Feb 2020, this new method implied

You should have the CCNA knowledge before attempting the CCNP due to the changes that have been made for the exams.
You could go straight for the CCNP but you may be at a disadvantage unless you have over 5 years of heavy Cisco experience.

As per the below link, CCNP has no pre-requisites

Either you go for CCNP training or certification exam, CCNA training is mandatory. Also, CCNA certification is one of the prerequisites for attempting the CCNP certification exam.

So, the answer is, No you cannot do CCNP directly without taking CCNA training.

If you ask why,

Then CCNA is the fundamental training program covering the conceptual learning of Cisco devices, technologies, protocols, standards, layers and more…

For easy and deep learning experience you must take a step by step training.

CCNA cover basics of Cisco Routing & Switching technologies and you can not skip CCNA to do CCNP. if you don't have CCNA Certification but you have knowledge of CCNA R&S, then you can go for CCNP R&S Course, but in order to get CCNP Certified and to get the Certification, you will have to pass CCNA and CCNP Exams.

You can do CCNP Course if you don't have CCNA Certification, but knowledge of CCNA is mandatory.

If you want to get CCNP certified, first do CCNA and get the certification. And then you can do CCNP and appear for CCNP exams one by one.
