I surely can try a suggestion.

Lets take your college, The objective is to design a campus network for your college.

- Estimate the network size (number of possible users in the campus network)

- Number of different Buildings (you can already imagine why ospf is a good idea.)

- Number of Vlans (different vlans for different user types ##### |student vlan | Management vlan | Teachers vlan | Admin vlan etc ).

- Make sure you do it like Cisco says (3 layer Hierarchial model [it will look cool that way.] (spelling mistake duh!!).

- Impliment Redundency (etherchannel stuff, STP (the Advance kind : like RSTP------because its fast (and sounds cool too~~~)))

######################## LETS REVIEW ###############################

So you designed a network for your college.

it will have routers and swtiches.

it will be 3 layered.

it will have a routing protocol and Efficient Switching solution (resilient and redundent, use FHRP if you want to sound mode cooler.)

HERE IS THE SWEETEST STUFF (DOCUMENT IT RIGHT.)

THE DESIGN IS ANOTHER THING

EVERYONE WILL WANT TO KNOW WHY OSPF AND NOT RIP.

WHY ETHERCHANNEL??

WHY VLANS??

So do it right, and you will have nearly done a network project that goes as close to a pro work as it can.

:) :)

Well, Good luck.
