About static etherchannel bundling of port state selection?
ZAP
suppose i have two switches on which i am bundling two interface between them .one interface is on static trunk and other one is static access on both side .now on what basis switch will decide which port to be suspended and other one to bundled ?
as per the question
i come up with this design, apologies for not interpreting the question correctly.
but if the diagram is correct then i will follow with this
if i try to add one trunk port fist or i use the range command to bundle both ports , ill get an error . the ether channel has a prerequisite to have the port type should be same either access with same vlan or trunk will same trunk configuration but this is not our case ,
so in this case the first port's properties will be inherited by the port-channel and it will then compare those values with any other port which i want to add in that port channel so if trunk port is f0/1 and access port is f0/2 then switch will put the trunk port in bundle but will not added the access port.
